BAMBOO PLANTING OCULAR VISIT

CAMALIG, ALBAY

JUNE 01, 2024

Areas of focus: Environment

ROTARY CLUB – PASAY LIBERTAD (RCPL) visited the site (June 2, 2024) for the BAMBOO TREE PLANTING PROJECT at Quituinan Hills located in Camalig, Albay. This project materialized when it was brought out in one of the Club Fellowships by CP Ness Morco, and MIP Gina and the rest of the members present were in conformity because the project has potential to increase sustainability in the livelihood of the people living within the said barangay. As we all aware that bamboo tree is becoming one of the sources of materials for an eco-friendly environment because of its lower carbon emission released to the atmosphere. The bamboo propagules will be sourced out from Fr. Efren "Momoy" Borromeo, a Healing Priest of Mary’s Healing Sanctuary, Legaspi City. Fr. Momoy is an advocate of sustainable energy for a clean environment.

BARANGAY 120, CALOOCAN CITY

JULY 06, 2024 

Areas of focus: Disease Prevention and Treatment; Maternal and Child Health; Basic Education and Literacy

ROTARY CLUB – PASAY LIBERTAD (RCPL) represented by MIP Gina R. Mandigma and Club Secretary Maria Leni R. Salalima, participated in NURTURING COMMUNITIES – A Magical Experience Project of RC – Hiyas ng Maynila MIP Juvy P. Roaring-Mayrena, Rotaract Club of Adamson University, Rotaract Club of Manila Zobel, located at Barangay120 Caloocan City.

Several service activities were simultaneously held in the communities like free medical care and medicines (maternal and childcare, checkup and free laboratories for the elderly), food feeding for the communities, children were taught how to care for the environment (how to use, reuse and recycle thrash) thru storytelling and audio video presentation. Children were also provided with school supplies and snacks. RC Gov. Jackie Rodriguez, RC, Manila Fort Santiago – Sehawie A. Omar and RC Quiapo Plaza Miranda – Gary Jay R. Maramag are also present. “Service Above Self”. RCPL co-hosted this event.

RIZAL PARK

JULY 01, 2024

Areas of focus: 7 Areas of Focus

JULY 1, 2024 - Rotary Club District 3810 Kick-Off Project for Children and Environment - Rotary Year 2024 - 2025. Participated in the Flag Ceremony at the Independence Flagpole in Rizal Park, Luneta. Various activities were held like Tree Planting, distribution of school supplies for kids, parlor games for kids and lunch was provided for everyone. RCPL is one of the co-host club. It was a successful event, several areas of focus like environment, maternal care, education and literacy, disease prevention, community service and peace are manifested by the said event.

MANGYAN COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM

BULALACAO, MINDORO

JULY 11-12, 2024

Areas of focus: Community Economic Development

Ignite the Spark of Change - Gabay Kabataan Ahon Kinabukasan Outreach Program in promoting the welfare of Hanunuo Mangyan Tribe at Nasucob, Bulalacao, Mindoro. Activities with the Mangyan kids and family were simultaneously held at Abintang Elementary School, like proper hand washing and dental care, bible reading, tree planting, coloring of art books, contest of best in dancing, distribution of toys, distributions of medicines and vitamins both for the kids and adult. Also, snacks of bread, juice and water are provided and shared with the communities. There are also two recipient of wheelchair for elderly. RCPL participated (MIP Gina R. Mandigma and Secretary Maria Leni R. Salalima) co- hosted this event organized by MIP Love Layague of RC Imus Independencia.

Brigada Eskwela at Jose Rizal Elementary School, Pasay City, yet again shows the Bayanihan Culture of the Filipinos. Several Rotary Clubs of District 3810 volunteered their time, skills and resources in the spirit of community service. RC Pasay Libertad is one of the club co-host, and well represented by our MIP and members.

PUMA OUTREACH

CAINTA, RIZAL

JULY 22-27, 2024

Areas of focus: Disease Prevention and Treatment; Water Sanitation and Hygiene; Maternal and Child Health; DEI; Youth

During Typhoon Carina, support was extended to the residents of Sto. Domingo Cainta, Rizal who were affected by flooding. In response, various organizations and individuals came together to offer help. The collaboration included Taxhelp Inphil, the Rotary Club of Pasay Libertad, ACPAPP Rizal, Travellers Alliance of the Philippines, and AKO Bakwit. Additionally, numerous other individuals and groups contributed personal needs, such as relief goods, books, and clothing, to support those in need during the crisis.

Areas of focus: Community Economic Development; Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention

August 24, 2024, Rotary Club – Pasay Libertad (MIP Gina R. Mandigma) in collaboration with Tax Help in the Philippines (Founder Rizaldy S. Menor), and Rizal Paramount Lion’s Club (Pres. Agnes DG. Francia) jointly held a project “Protect The Protectors”, a Distributions of Vests and Raincoats. Its beneficiaries are Barangay Officials, Volunteers and Employees for Barangay 44, Pasay City. Said event were also attended by the members of RC Pasay Libertad and Rotaract, and Kiwanis Club of Pacita Diamond, Pres. Myrna Guzman and members.
